Article Evaluation[edit]

Are there more ways to diagnose allergies in children aside from nonquantitative mean s like observing symptoms?

It seems really short, with little information about the listed types of allergies.
Section on the respiratory disease seems unecessary.
Sources are great and appear properly sorted, but there are few.
The headers don't adequately describe what the paragraphs are about.
Random metered-dose pictures. No explanation of them in the text.

The diagnosis section is barely touched but is an important topic to cover. There are many methods to diagnose allergies in children and none of them are given. Also this section entirely depends on one source. This source is by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is not a biased source but the author chose to use an article instead of a stronger source like an academic journal.

For example, one might discuss the skin prick test for diagnosing allergies as per the following journal article: “Allergies in children” Paediatrics & child health vol. 6,8 (2001): 555-66.

Woefully inadequate -- why so little mention of food allergies?[edit]

Children have been killed due to inadequate care regarding food allergies, for example in school settings.

Why does this article so signally fail to address such issues, which cause great concern to parents? Under "causes" it starts with "Each home contains possible allergens..." before talking about dust, pets et cetera (no mention of food), then describes certain foods as things that make a child "more susceptible to allergies"?!?
