Ko Omm (Burmese: ကိုအွန်း) is also known as Zaw Myo Htut (Burmese: ဇော်မျိုးထွဋ်); born 8 Feb 1994), is Burmese YouTuber and Video creator.[2] He started popular at social media platforms as a stand-out food content creator with his enormous eating style[3].

Early life & education[edit]

Zaw Myo Htut, Ko Omm was born on 8 February 2024 in Yangon, Myanmar. He is Mixed-blood of ethnic Karen, Shan and Chinese. He graduated with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Clean Energy from BCA Academy, Singapore in 2014 and continued his studies in Engineering, graduated in Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours) at The University of Newcastle, Australia (UON) in 2018.[4][5]

Career[edit]

Zaw Myo Htut, Ko Omm started as a street food content creation at MPlay, which was founded by Satt Wai Kyaw, Ko Chak Gyi in 2021. He won his first audiences awareness with his enormous eating style.[6] By collaborating with his chef buddy Ko Chak Gyi, their presentation style as cooking show with storyline became an instant success.[7] Their creation theme thus became uniquely known as Ko Omm and Ko Chak Gyi. The name of Ko Omm (Burmese: ကိုအွန်း) was given by voting his fans (He used to name his fan as his family) on 23.8.2021.[8]

In 2022, he finished his collaboration with MPlay and started his own brand as Ko Omm and entertaining his audience by distributing his own creation digital video content through social media platform.[9][bare URL]

In 2023, he won an YouTube Creator Award (Silver).[10]

Other projects[edit]

Ko Omm has appeared in several Social media platform commercials, including those for FMCG products, Soft drinks and ready made dishes.[11]
