This category is for irish Gaelic territories. Current confusion between tuatha and trich cet means there is no point being more specific, although that might change in the future. Overkingdoms can be included but may warrant their own subcategory of this one. The terminology is unsure, so a neutral confederation may suffice.

The territories added to this should be locatable on a map, ones that have known equivalent baronies are preferable. Hazy tribes or peoples should not be categorised here. These territories should fit in Irish provinced too. I will develop my thoughts on this as we go on. I hope it is seen as useful in the History Ireland section.
