Vertigo Tour[edit]

Hi there, I noticed your edits to Vertigo Tour. As I'm sure you noticed, given that you reinstated it, I removed your edits to the caption for the Croke Park image. The image page doesn't give any info about what song was played, and so there is no way to ascertain what they were playing without asking the original uploader. Saying it was "City of Blinding Lights" is just a guess at best, and that isn't allowed on Wikipedia. I have reverted it for a second time as a result. Please do not reinstate it without any clear proof that "City of Blinding Lights" was the song that was played. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 04:29, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Sorry about the repeated reinstatments. I'm rather new to this, but I'd like to explain the reasoning behind my edits.

During the Vertigo Tour, U2 performed "City of Blinding Lights" at every show. Just as they did with most songs during that tour, they used a very unique and distinct lighting pattern on the LED screen behind them in combination with audience blinders during the opening and chorus.

Here's a link to a video of the actual performance of the song, during which the photo was taken. Notice the date of video, and the image, June 24, 2005.

Now take a look at the image,

Now back to the Croke Park image. If you look at the LED screen, you'll see that exact same lighting pattern from the video. I hope this clears up any misconception that I was simply assuming it was "City of Blinding Lights".

                                                      Cheers,
