Maj 'e Shën Mërtirit is a Peninsula in Albania. It is located in the prefecture of Vlorë County, in the southern part of the country, 140 km south of the country capital, Tirana.

The terrain of Maja 'e Shën is hilly in the southeast and mountains in the north. The highest point has an elevation of 1,462 m (4,797 ft) located 7.7 km (4.8 mi) to the north of Maja 'e Shën Mërtirit.[3] Very few people live in this area. The least densely populated city ​​is Himarë, 2.4 km (1.5 mi) east of Maja 'e Shën Mërtirit. Mountains and lakes are very common in the area of Maja 'e Shën Mërtirit.

The climate of Maja 'e Shën Mërtirit is temperate. The annual average temperature is 18 °C (64 °F). The warmest month is July, when the average temperature is 28 °C (82 °F), and the coldest is January, at 10 °C (50 °F).[5] The annual average rainfall is 1,501 mm (59.1 in). The month with the most railfall is February, with an average of 210 mm (8.3 in), and the month with the least rainfall is August, with 24 mm (0.94 in).[6]

Spotter Lake is a lake located in the Thunder Bay region of Canada. It is 800km west of the capital, Ottawa.

Eino Vihtori Kaakkolahti (April 25, 1929 &emdash; June 25, 2014[1]) was a Finnish baseball player.

During his 18 seasons in the Finnish championship league, he won a total of 10 medals and 6 awards,[2] and was chosen Baseball Player of the Year in 1961[3] In 1973 and '74, Kaakkolahti was vice chairman of Suomen Pesäpalloliitto (The Finnish Baseball Association, or PPL for short).[4]

Eino Kaakkolahti's little brother, Matti Kaakkolahti, is a ski jumping medalist and has played baseball in the Finnish series.[5]
