Merge discussion[edit]

A trapezohedron may have scalene faces. The trigonal variety is presumably no exception. Given that the rhomboidal variety is the rhombohedron and has its own article, is there anything notable about the scalene variety that should ne be merged into the main article on the trapezohedron? Also merging the rhomboid content into rhombohedron would leave nothing here but a redirect to trapezohedron. But is anyone able to cite a reliable source which would make that untenable? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 08:11, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Scalene trapezohedra[edit]

"Trapezohedra" which have scalene faces seem to be quite a thing in crystallography. I can find quite a lot of drawings on the Internet, evidently copied from reliable text sources, but not the sources themselves. Cromwell (cited in the article lede) does not mention crystallography in this context. Any crystallographers watching? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 15:48, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
