The list as it now stands includes some places which are undoubted gardens and are freely open to the public (e.g Clyne Gardens) some where the public are not generally excluded (e.g Treborth Botanic Gardens - access to the open ground but not generally to the hot-houses) some where a house stands in grounds but without any extensive "gardens" (e.g Plas Tan y Bwlch), There is also the question of public access of which some of the linked articles make no mention.
Do we need a generally agreed definition of a garden and should we only link to articles where public access is noted ? VelellaVelella Talk 18:35, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have carried out a quick update as this list seemed to be rather thin. All the gardens I have added have been verified as being included on other websites listing gardens in Wales and all - unless I have made a mistake - are regularly open to the public. I would argue that a list such as this is more useful if it is comprehensive rather than selective. If it were thought beneficial, the listings could be converted to tables giving more information about the individual gardens. An introductory section could be added to indicate what sort of 'gardens' are included. It is still quite a short list. Paravane (talk) 19:57, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
