Football Manager 2024 (officially abbreviated as FM24) is a football management simulation video game developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. It is part of its Football Manager series. It was released on November 6, 2023.[1]

For the first time in the series, players can transfer their save files over from the previous game. Therefore, plays can transfer their save files from Football Manager 2023 and continue playing them in 2024. This feature will also continue in future games, allowing 2024 save files to be played in Football Manager 2025. Those using this feature will be unable to unlock Achievements, however.[2][3]

FM24 was significant for two debuts in the Football Manager series. It was the first title in studio history to be released in Japan[4] and also included the fully-licensed J1, J2 and J3 Leagues from Japan.[5] The Mobile version of the game, FM24 Mobile, was launched as a Netflix exclusive.[6]

Awards & Accolades[edit]

In February 2024, Football Manager 2024 officially became the most-played edition in the game's history, hitting the milestone of seven million players inside 100 days.[7]

On March 7th 2024, Football Manager 2024 was named Best UK PC game at the 2024 Ukie Video Game Awards.[8] On the same day, FM24 was shortlisted for Best British Game at the 2024 BAFTA Games Awards.[9]
