Cun-Quan Zhang (born August, 1952) is a mathematician working mainly in graph theory, currently a professor emeritus at the West Virginia University.

Education[edit]

Cun-Quan Zhang was admitted by Simon Fraser University in 1982, earned his Ph.D. (mathematics) in 1986 under the supervision of Prof. Brian Alspach[1].

Biography[edit]

In 1987, Zhang joined the faculty of West Virginia University, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 1989 and Professor in 1996 and Eberly Distinguished Professor in Mathematics, 2009

He served in Editorial Committees of some journals.

Research[edit]

Zhang is known for his work in graph theory, and particularly for some works in the subjects of nowhere-zero flow problems, cycle double cover problems, Hamilton cycle problems: see Zhang's publications on AMS and on Google Scholar.

Some major results in Zhang's research include the following:

Awards and honors[edit]

Zhang has won Benedum Distinguished Scholar Award (1997-1998) from West Virginia University and is appointed as Eberly Distinguished Professor of Mathematics in 2009.
