Descent vs. immigration[edit]

Wouldn't the status of people born in another country be more accurately covered by their status as immigrants/emigrants, while descent would apply only to their, well, descendents? As a result, they should not be directly connected? Daniel the Monk (talk) 20:20, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
