Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello Gamkiller, welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and decide to stay.

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else how to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. Just click on this link and type {{helpme}} followed by your question. An experienced editor will be along shortly to answer your question 24/7. There are also the help pages for self-help and the village pump and IRC Channels where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance. You should also feel free to ask me on my Talk page.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes(~~~~) produces your name and the current date. Please do not add this signature to encyclopedia articles you may edit, however, even if you have created them. Wikipedia articles are owned by the community, not by any one person. Wikipedia articles are owned by the community, not by any one person. Your contribution is credited on articles' history pages. Again, welcome!

Re: question on irc[edit]

Thank you for your suggestion! When you feel an article needs improvement, please feel free to make those changes. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the Edit this page link at the top. You don't even need to log in (although there are many reasons why you might want to). The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold in updating pages. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes — they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. If you're not sure how editing works, check out how to edit a page, or use the sandbox to try out your editing skills. New contributors are always welcome. Auschwitz[edit]

Hi there: that bit about Mark Stafford in the Auschwitz article is, I regret to say, a piece of mindless vandalism which is sadly all too common in Wikipedia, but which is inherent in a system in which access is allowed to all editors without limit. Removing it was, of course, wholly correct.--Anthony.bradbury 19:09, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, Gammy, I notice that you're interested in open-source/free software. Please consider joining WikiProject Free Software. We're just starting out, and we could really use some more members. Thanks! Geekman314(contact me) 18:02, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Fattaru has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced music group article of unclear notability; tagged as unreferenced since 2011

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RfC: Should a separate article on the dried flowers and leaves variant of the Cannabis plant be made?[edit]

Talk:Cannabis (drug)#RFC: Should the section about the dried whole-flower-and-leaf preparation have its own article? If you have the time, would you please analyse my request, as you interested in our Cannabis project. Do you think there should be a separate section for this topic? მაLiphradicusEpicusთე 21:47, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

IC 1396 listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect IC 1396. Since you had some involvement with the IC 1396 redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. StringTheory11 (t • c) 16:38, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Max Disk Formatter[edit]

The article Max Disk Formatter has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

If not an outright hoax, this software is so obscure that no trace of it can be found in Google. Been tagged as unsourced and possibly non-notable since September 2015, no activity on article since then. Just one inbound link, from a disambig page for "MDF". You commented on the talk page that you couldn't find this program either - did you ever find it?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

--Krelnik (talk) 19:17, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
