Admin corps[edit]

I've traditionally not given much credence to the claims there are major problems with the way administors act here on en.wikipedia. I mean the occasional problem sure, but widespread? No. I'm starting to think perhaps I'm wrong. And no it has nothing to do with how I've personally been treated.

Linafoot article[edit]

Hello Nil Einne, this is what I replied to Qed237, because I have the best intentions to make Wikipedia more complete: Dear Qed237, why do you want to block me? Because I've added a 'Bogus' article?? The Linafoot is the top-flight football league of DR Congo, the biggest sport in the country with almost 100 million inhabitants, with a club named TP Mazembe who made it to the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup final. The 2016-17 season, and with a reference to the league standings table. Can you PLEASE explain what's so bogus about that? Some Linafoot matches attracted crowds around 80,000... Really a bogus league...

re Your images[edit]

Thank you for your comments. The point of the photograph was to illustrate the tilt wing vertical flight, the CL-84 being the first successful aircraft of this type.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no other photos of the CL-89 in flight. I could have produce a drawing of the latter, could not have guaranteed the dimensions.

I am trying to get Bombardier to release the photos from copyright in the low definition form.

Everyman's Encyclopedia[edit]

My appologies, I was sending to both yourself (as above) and to Hammersoft, and they got muddles. Thanks for your quick acknowledgment which allowed me to correct.

BSA[edit]

Thanks for the comments. I went to the source material and added references to show that BSA numbers declined by 14% since Dale while in the similar period Scouts Canada declined by 50%. Feel free to make the reference "Wiki Pretty" GCW50 (talk) 21:02, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Zanzibar[edit]

Thanks for your comment on my user talk page. Could you please take a look at the comment that came in afterward?

I was trying to honor Dorothy McNeil herself because she was the only one of the three women in the mural that piqued my initial interest who did not have a Wikipedia page. Didn't seem right. I missed a trick in not checking to see if Club Zanzibar had its own page and I agree that some of what's in the McNeil page that I wrote might belong on the Club page instead. I couldn't have written the Club page. I'm trying to contribute to the Wiki Project Women in Red, etc. I've learned to be distrustful of comments coming from a certain class of Wikipedia editors/trolls/whatevers directed at pages about individual women. (With no offense intended to the particular person who is turning down the McNeil page; as I said, I agree in part but not in principle.)

Please, would you tell me what you think about this? Thanks again. Tarkiwi25 (talk) 21:32, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
