Project overview[edit]
The goal of this project is to improve coverage of African art and artists on Wikipedia. This would include creating articles on the art of various African tribes, as well as the art created in various African nations since their independence. It would also include writing articles about individual artists, such as Nicholas Mukomberanwa; other figures related to African art, such as curators (Frank McEwen), writers, and collectors; significant galleries and museums (National Gallery of Zimbabwe), and other miscellaneous topics which may be relevant (uli or Tengenenge Sculpture Community).
