Requested move 12 January 2017[edit]

Template:Cycling data TNE → Template:Cycling data BOH – In light of the clean-up of articles by user Sander v. Ginkel, this move in March 2015 (and more so by an IP thereafter) resulted in the page histories being skewed when they should not have been. Now in line with the UCI, BOH is the correct code for the team. I had moved the BOA page to BOH in December 2016, but had not noticed this previous issue. Therefore, upon further review, the TNE page needs to be moved to BOH, as that should correct the issues with the histories. Apologies if this is long-winded. Contesting due to the fact that Template:Cycling data BOH (the move target) redirects to Template:Cycling data BOA. Moving Template:Cycling data TNE to Template:Cycling data BOH could transclude the wrong template. All transclusions of Template:Cycling data BOH need to be verified/fixed first. @Anthony Appleyard: Yeah, that works perfectly. Technical question: now that Zwerg Nase has unredirected BOH (in good faith) where the page was initially moved due to be moved into, could TNE theoretically be histmerged into BOH, and TNE set as a redirect, or is that technically impossible with the histmerge capability? @Zwerg Nase, Cs-wolves, and Steel1943: If Template:Cycling data TNE is moved to Template:Cycling data BOH, then firstly the existing Template:Cycling data BOH and its talk page and all their dependent pages should be moved away to some other name (without leaving redirects), and not be left sitting deleted under corresponding pages moved in from Template:Cycling data TNE. - @Anthony Appleyard: So, for instance, the current BOH should be moved to something like Bora, from what you're saying? I may be completely wrong on this next point, but if TNE gets moved into BOH, would the pages already listed with BOH not show that after a purge of the page, or would the 250+ pages need BOH to be amended to Bora, and then amended back to BOH when the pages are moved? @Zwerg Nase, Cs-wolves, and Steel1943: Try moving the existing Template:Cycling data BOH to Template:Cycling data BOH (version 2) or similar. A "deleted" edit is not destroyed; it stays at the same page name and is marked to say that only admins are allowed to see it. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:40, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
