Have been going through some India articles to get a better understanding of how is the country set up and have run into a situation that I am unable to determine what I should do.

1. How can I change "Vengoor Pincode is 683546 with 10.14946 latitude and 76.55806 longitude." to replace "" ?66.74.176.59 (talk)

Deletion nomination ?

Deletion nomination? It is interesting that an article may get little or no traffic yet exists by mere neglect but then there is an attempt to improve it so that those outside the area can understand that part of the world; especially when the possibility of text in one's language may be wanting particularly for a country such as India where life happens for people in many different languages and not readily available to English readers. If your audience is predominately English reading and the citation materials are in another it makes it all the more difficult to develop an article of WP quality. How am I to have a better understanding of India to the level that I have of my own area of the world if sources in English are not available? I have read through within the last several days several hundred locality articles of India to get a better understanding as to how can I approach these articles to understand India. At this point the place names and some of the terms used might as well be dots and dashes because they are not what I am familiar. And I certainly am not going to become familiar if the article does not exist and is not presented in a way that allows me to encapsulate information in the bits and pieces that any ordinary person might when growing up in that area of the world, as has happened with me where I live.

For example. One article included information about a school and who funded its establishment and where he developed his wealth. That gave me an understanding that I probably never would have learned from someone if I had made it part of my holiday activities because those that know may not want to get into potentially negative face offs with their neighbors for telling things that some people may prefer die away.

Also, if mire information was available in English at the same level of that say of places and things in the US then there would be far more articles of this business or that business or that community or that street, etc as are found in WP about the US. If it is significant enough to include an article about an intersection of roads in Iowa because 200 years ago there use to be a stone barn at the nw corner then a few articles about places in India and other lesser known places in the world should be in the English language WP. No wonder why we in the states get characterized as idiots. At least after s bit of time and articles reach their capacity mass then those of lesser size can be consolidated in a summary article than the places that have so much more to be said than others.66.74.176.59 (talk) 20:16, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
