QuñuqquchaLake Conococha – The name in official maps and literature is Conococha. – Frank R 1981 (talk) 07:09, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:27, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • There seems to be a tendency to change these names to the Quechua spelling. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:27, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • Such changes are confusing for English-speaking people who are looking for information and possible travel routes. The official name should appear as the article title and the Quechua names should be kept in the body of the article as alternative names. Frank R 1981 (talk) 19:20, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per WP:UCN. "Lake Conococha" is vastly more common than the current title (which doesn't even rate in Google ngram results) and is the only name appearing on maps. —  AjaxSmack  21:08, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
