Birth date[edit]

Which is the better-established birth date, "c. 1248" or "1254"? If this date is doubtful, rather than simply adopt one or the other, the article needs a brief paragraph explaining the reasoning behind each date. --Wetman 20:41, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
