I don't quite understand the purpose of this image, nor what it shows. Schenker's Bassbrechung includes only one V chord, under 2, as follows if the Urlinie starts from 5:

    5   4   3   2   1
    I ————————— V   I

The idea of a bass doing I V I V I at the level of the Ursatz is all but Schenkerian.

This image is found without explanation at the bottom of several pages, although not all those listed. Once again, I fail to see its purpose. — Hucbald.SaintAmand (talk) 08:54, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
