Improvement requests

The image is inconsistent in that it shows Earth with its atmosphere (i.e. clouds), but Venus without. So one of the two planet images should be adapted to fit the other.

Also, I'd like to see the Mercury image replaced by one showing the whole planetary surface, i.e. without the unrealistically unicoloured "slice". --Roentgenium111 (talk) 20:22, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Venus with its clouds doesn't look like much of anything. The purpose of the illustration is to show sizes, not clouds. And there may not be a photo of Mercury that shows the complete disc (nor maybe fore Venus either), but feel free to look for one. :) ←Baseball Bugs ^{What's up, Doc?} carrots→ 21:54, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

A Venus image isn't supposed to look impressive, but realistic. (No human would ever see Venus like this image.) And though the main point of the illustration is to compare sizes, other info given should be correct and consistent, too. (For pure size comparison purposes, you could just give four white circles of the corresponding sizes.)

The images [1] and [2] show almost full planets, which would be fine to me. (Unfortunately there doesn't seem to exist a Mercury image in real colours, but the one I gave should be close to real.) --Roentgenium111 (talk) 14:16, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

I like the complete-disk version better. And realistically, the average human isn't going to see earth that way either, unless we start running tour buses to outer space.
