Mistake?[edit]

Looks to me like there's an error here. Near the end, it looks like two steps happen at once. Can't fix it myself, since I don't know anything about flag folding or gif animations. Staecker 22:04, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like an "intentional mistake". The whole triangle folding process is meant to continue right along the folded strip until one triangle is left. It looks like either the animator got bored and skipped a few or thought the viewer would get bored. When I saw it, I though it was inexplicably folded in half after a number of triangles but the text doesn't suggest this. I might make a replacement if I get round to it. Yeah, that's correct about the "intentional mistake". It was that way in the previous version of the animation, and I was too lazy to fix it when I did this version. SFT | Talk 03:33, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well that took less time than I thought! I've uploaded a new one made from scratch. As well as depicting all the stages, the dashed lines all look the same, and the folded parts look how they should (assuming every fold goes on top of the visible portion of the flag, which I think is correct). It's not precisely folded but at least the geometry is right now. I have an 800px Fireworks source file available on request. BigBlueFish 11:55, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Very nice work.  :) SFT | Talk 19:06, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
