The article says the bomb had a pressure fuse set to make it detonate at 9m depth, so I suppose it wouldn't go to the bottom of the dam as shown in this (otherwise very good) animation. This would explain why the actual dam seems to be only breached from half way up. Corentinoger (talk) 14:46, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
