Ummm, does the image here look anything like the actual graph as found in the original work here [1]? The present graph makes it seem like Europe and China are "almost" at parity. Of course this is nonsense, with Europe having a population of 731*10^6 folks, while China has something like 134*10^7. Notice the 10^6 vs. 10^7. That's a difference of 1.8 but this isn't at all visible from the graph.Volunteer Marek (talk) 02:57, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It uses a different scale, but the data graphed is that given in the source. A logarithmic scale exposes relative growth rates, while a linear scale shows little detail in earlier periods. The ratio you mention is present in the log scale graph too. Kanguole 16:05, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
