I gave birth to my first biracial child in 1963. The demonstrations were usualy full of people of other races white Asian Native American...some times it was difficult to find black people who were willing to be a part of our fight for brotherhood....My black husband would never attend a demonstration and in the end he prevented me from attending as well. His argument was consider the children, We had two by then. All of us agreed for one reason or another to always make the photos feature black people. Because of that raciest white people would always say black people were happy with the way things were it was only leftest white agetators who were always stiring up things
