Summary

Description U.S. Navy ships of Antisubmarine Warfare Group 3 on 24 April 1971 when they were passing through the Sunda Straits, having a memorial service for the cruisers USS Houston (CA-30) and HMAS Perth (D29) that were sunk here on 28 February 1942. The follwing ships are visible (l-r): USS Bronstein (DE-1037), USS Meyerkord (DE-1058), USS Ticonderoga (CVS-14), USS Schofield (DEG-3), and USS John S. McCain (DDG-36).
