Fue construida entre 1663 y 1690, y fundada por el elector Fernando María y su esposa Enriqueta Adelaida de Saboya en un gesto de agradecimiento por el nacimiento del tan esperado heredero de la corona bávara, el príncipe Maximiliano II Emanuel de Baviera en 1662. Como actualmente es administrada por los frailes dominicos, es también conocida como el Priorato Dominicano de San Cajetano.
Italiano: La chiesa teatina di San Gaetano Thiene (in tedesco: Theatinerkirche St. Kajetan) è una chiesa cattolica di Monaco di Baviera. Costruita tra il 1663 e il 1690, è stata fondata da Ferdinando Maria di Baviera e sua moglie, Enrichetta Adelaide di Savoia, come gesto di ringraziamento per la nascita del nuovo erede di Baviera, il principe Massimiliano Emanuele, nel 1662. Ora gestita dai frati domenicani, è conosciuta anche come prioria domenicana di San Gaetano Thiene.

Polski: Teatyński kościół św. Kajetana (niem. Theatinerkirche) w Monachium, w Niemczech. Zbudowany w latach 1663–1690 kościół został ufundowany przez elektora Ferdynanda Marię i jego żonę Henriettę Adelajdę jako gest dziękczynny za narodziny w 1662 roku księcia Maksymiliana Emanuela, długo oczekiwanego następcy bawarskiego tronu. Obecnie świątynia jest zarządzana przez dominikanów, znana jest także jako „klaszator dominikanów pw. św. Kajetana”.
