| Description |
The Hayling Billy. The Hayling Billy arriving at Hayling Island station on the penultimate day of normal operation. "Terrier" tank engines were used on this line, due to the weight restriction imposed by the wooden Langstone Harbour bridge.Fifty of these locomotives were built between 1872 & 1880. Remarkably, 10 of them still survive, including this one - 32650. |
