Object history This piece was originally part of a two-sided folding screen with Ogata Kōrin's "Wind God and Thunder God" on one side and Sakai Hōitsu's "Summer and autumn flower plants" on the opposite side. It was recently reformed into a pair of two-fold screens to protect it from damage.
Notes "Wind God and Thunder God" by Kōrin is a replica of Tawaraya Sōtatsu's four-fold screen of the same title. On the back of this screen is a painting of summer plants by Saka Hōitsu.
