Español: La obra representa la profesión de votos de los padres Francisco Caracciolo y Juan Agustín Adorno, fundadores de la Orden de los Clérigos Menores, ante el vicario general de la diócesis de Nápoles. Y conviene señalar que este lienzo procede del desaparecido convento del Espíritu Santo de la ciudad de Madrid, que fue demolido en 1842 y que ocupaba el solar donde en la actualidad se alza el Palacio de las Cortes.
