English: The star and the badge of the order of S. Hubert. Bavaria, early 19 c. Deutsch: Der Orden des Heiligen Hubertus (kurz: Hubertusorden), auch Orden vom Horn genannt, war ein jülich-bergischer, pfälzischer und bayerischer Orden. Er wird heute noch als Hausorden der Wittelsbacher verliehen. Am 29.09.1708 rief Kurfürst Johann Wilhelm II. von der Pfalz-Neuburg, Herzog von Jülich-Berg, den Orden feierlich in Düsseldorf wieder ins Leben zurück. Mit Bestätigung und Erweiterung der Statuten durch den Kurfürsten Carl Theodor von Bayern wurde er 1744 zu einem kurpfälzischen Orden. König Maximillian I. von Bayern erhob ihn zum ersten und höchsten Orden des Bayerischen Landes. |
