Summary

Description Sample of Latin iota in various typefaces (DejaVu Sans, Doulos SIL, Junicode, DejaVu Serif, Charis SIL, Gentium). Latin iota (majuscule: Ɩ, minuscule: ɩ) was formerly used in the International Phonetic Alphabet. It was replaced by a small capital I (ɪ) in 1989.
