Description
Español: La obra representa a la reina Blanca II de Navarra (1424-1464), que fue hija del rey Juan II de Aragón y de la reina Blanca I de Navarra y primera esposa del rey Enrique IV de Castilla. Fue recluida por su padre en el castillo de Olite para evitar que pudiera reclamar su derecho a reinar de forma efectiva, tras la muerte de su hermano Carlos. Posteriormente, fue entregada a su hermana menor Leonor y a su marido Gastón, condes de Foix, que pretendían la corona navarra a costa de eliminar en sus pretensiones a Blanca. Para evitarlo, hizo testamento cediendo sus derechos sobre Navarra a Enrique IV de Castilla, y excluyó de tales derechos a Leonor y su descendencia, aunque Juan II evitó (de forma ilegítima) que la unión de Navarra y Castilla se llevase a cabo, confirmando a Leonor como su heredera en Navarra. Blanca II murió probablemente envenenada en su posterior encierro en el castillo de Orthez (Francia).
