Summary

Description
English: It was initially intended for raising chickens, but it appeared as a weapon in the Battle of Hwangryong, the first victory against the Gyeonggun. It is said that peasant armies used jangtae to avoid bullets by hiding behind them by filling the inside of the jangtae with rice straw or rolling it down from a high place to block the guards coming up to suppress the peasant army.
