Summary

Description
English: Traditional Chinese Wedding. Folk Customs Museum, Luoyang

These life-size mannequins enact a traditional Chinese wedding of the 19th century. The invited guests are friends and family, as in the West. The ceremony takes place before a judge. Bride and groom bow to the judge, bow to each other, bow to the guests, and that's it... they're married. The couple is dressed in red, the traditional color of happiness in China.
