Summary

Description
English: Harwich International railway station, platforms from footbridge Known as Harwich Parkeston Quay until 1995, This station and the port of Hawich owe their origins to the Great Eastern Railway which opened them on a new track alignment built over reclaimed land in 1883 and named them after its chairman, C.H. Parkes. The original combined station building and hotel seen on the left, is still in existence although its hotel functions have been taken over as offices and as part of the port terminal.
