DescriptionGrosmont Station, North Yorkshire Moors Railway - geograph.org.uk - 856472.jpg
English: Grosmont Station, North Yorkshire Moors Railway Class 24 locomotive no D5061 reverses onto a passenger train at Grosmont Station. It was built in 1960 and was withdrawn from main line service in 1975. However, it was subsequently reinstated for use in British Rail technical departments. It was finally withdrawn in 1987 and spent some time in a scrap yard until being purchased for preservation in 1991. These days, it is based at Pickering and is more likely to be seen hauling engineers trains on the railway.
