View SW, towards Waterhouses on the roadway that now follows the twisting route of the former Leek & Manifold Valley Light Railway (narrow-gauge, 2ft. 6in.) between Waterhouses and Hulme End, closed in 1934. The 'Weak Bridge' on the left is Weag's Bridge! If I am right in my orientation [?], the hill behind is Soles Hill (1,165 ft.). |
