Português: Acervo Museu da Imigração de São Paulo. Japão, década de 1950. Borracha. Doação Yasuichi Kojima. Segundo informações do doador, esse par de chinelos pertenceu ao seu irmão, Atsuyoshi Kojima. O zori é outro calçado tradicional japonês e pode ser considerado um tipo de chinelo, usado por homens e mulheres até os dias de hoje. O par exposto possui a particularidade de ser um “gomu zori” ou, literalmente, zori de borracha. Antigamente, os zori eram feitos de uma variedade de materiais, sendo a palha de arroz um dos mais usados. Porém, com a introdução da borracha no Japão no final do século XIX, os chinelos passaram a ser produzidos em larga escala com esse material.

Na sola do chinelo há 4 linhas de escrita e a direção correta para a leitura é da foto com título "[...] Conrado Secassi (4)". De cima para baixo e da direita para esquerda está escrito: 1 - HIROSHIMA GOMU (significa: borrachas Hiroshima) 2 - KABUSHIKI KAISHA (significa: empresa de sociedade anônima) 3 - TOUROKU SHUNGYOU (novo empreendimento registrado) 4 - TOUROUKU SHOUHYOU (marca registrada)
