Summary

Description
English: Taxonomy and location of arenaviruses. The phylogenetic tree for OW and NW arenaviral strains and their geographic locations. Tree was generated from full-length genomic sequences for the L polymerase protein aligned by Clustalw analysis. Asterisks designate strains that cause natural human diseases, whereas hashtags designate strains that can cause laboratory-acquired diseases in animals.
