Summary

Description This painting of Harvey Wiley, who worked tirelessly for decades on passage of a comprehensive federal law to regulate food and drugs, was commissioned by FDA on the 60th anniversary of the 1906 Food and Drugs Act. It now hangs in the Harvey Wiley building that houses food regulatory activities for FDA in College Park, Maryland.
