English: Dhanvantari temple at Luhiti Dhungedhara near Jayabageshwari temple on the left side of the road from Gaushala to Chabahil near Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. This peak style temple is 400 years old. The Dhanvantari in this temple is considered to be the 12th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to medical science, Dhanvantari is worshiped as the god of health. On the day of Dhanvantari Jayanti Kartik Shukla Triodashi, the Kavirajs of Medicine celebrate Ayurveda. There is also a temple of Narayan near this temple. Behind the temple is the Luhiti ancient stone fountain.
