Object history
Deutsch: Das von Wilhelm Krieg entworfene Wappen wurde am 18. April 1973 vom Niedersächsischen Regierungspräsidenten in Hildesheim genehmigt. Es bezieht sich auf die Geschichte der Gemeinde und der Burg Windhausen. Die Rosen entstammen den Wappen der früher ansässigen Familien von Oldershausen und von Winthusen. Der Helm entstammt dem Wappen der Familie von Koch, die über Jahrhunderte das Rittergut in Windhausen besaßen.
