Object history
Deutsch: Oberrieden gehörte zur Herrschaft Mindelheim. Die Herren von Mindelberg waren bis 1363 Inhaber dieser Herrschaft. Daran erinnert der rote Löwe auf grünem Dreiberg aus ihrem Wappen. Im Jahr 1616 kam die Herrschaft an Bayern. Darauf verweisen die Farben Silber (Weiß) und Blau im Gemeindewappen. Der Wellenbalken stellt den Fluss Kammel dar.
