Description
Deutsch: Wappen der Gemeinde Embsen im Landkreis Lüneburg als Mitgliedsgemeinde der Samtgemeinde Ilmenau in Niedersachsen.
Wappenbegründung: Die Wellenbalkengabel des Wappens symbolisiert den Ortsteil Oerzen, der seinen Namen von der in der Form eines Nadeloehrs sich vereinigenden Bäche zu einem dritten herleitet. Der grüne Kirchturm stellt die Katharinenkirche in Embsen dar und vertritt diesen namengebenden Ortsteil, während die Tanne fur Heinsen auf den dort einst für die Saline in Lüneburg vollzogenen Holzumschlag verweist.
