Description
English: Courtyard of Thoresby College, Queen Street, King's Lynn Thoresby College is situated at the corner of Queen Street and College Lane. It was founded c.1500-10 by Thomas Thoresby to house priests serving the Holy Trinity Guild. By the mid-twentieth century it had become a bottling works but restoration work took place between 1963-8. The buildings currently include the local Citizens Advice Bureau, a youth hostel, public rooms and residential accommodation. The courtyard is notable for the Judas tree (Cercis siliquastrum) seen here in blossom.
