Description

Ball-and-stick model of the coordination environment of copper in the crystal structure of the alpha form of anhydrous copper(II) nitrate, Cu(NO3)2. Cu exhibits [4+1] coordination, with four short Cu–O bonds (1.92–2.02 Å) and one long Cu–O bond (2.42 Å).

Colour code:

  • Copper, Cu: orange-pink
  • Nitrogen, N: blue
  • Oxygen, O: red
