Español: La obra representa una cacería celebrada entre los días 5 y 9 de noviembre de 1881, a pesar de que una inscripción colocada en el lienzo asegura erróneamente que tuvo lugar en 1882, en la finca de Los Llanos, situada en Albacete y propiedad del marqués de Salamanca, que aparece en el lienzo junto al rey Alfonso XII de España, la reina María Cristina de Habsburgo-Lorena y la reina madre, Isabel II de España.
