English: w:Beeston railway station in w:Beeston, Nottingham with w:British Royal Train passing westbound through Platform 2 at 11:49 on 13 June 2012: w:British Railway Class 67026 Diamond Jubilee and 67006 Royal Sovereign w:top and tailing the empty coaching stock (ECS) eight-car Royal Train consist of 2921, 2903, 2916, 2922, 2923, 2917, 2915, 2920. The train had previously arrived at w:Nottingham railway station Platform 6 for 10:05, and waited both in Platform 6, and later in the Up Slow loop opposite Beeston Sidings. The train had been routed via w:Grantham railway station with w:Elizabeth II on board, who was then met by William Wales and Kate at the west end of platform 6, adjacent to the newly finished "Queen's Road Multi-Storey Car Park"—the same Queen's Road was originally named following arrival of the first royal train visit to Nottingham in 1846, arriving at w:Nottingham Carrington Street railway station (Goods Yard) with w:Queen Victoria on board. The date was also the 170th anniversary of Queen Victoria's very first royal train journey (from Slough to w:Paddington railway station) on 13 June 1842. The present-day w:Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II-procession proceeded by road to w:Nottingham Council House in the w:Old Market Square, and then transferred an hour later to Vernon Park in w:Basford, Nottinghamshire.
The leading locomotive in the photograph carries a w:Deutsche Bahn logo. Beeston "Station Road Bridge" is visible in the background, crossing over the end of the station platforms. A partially-folded w:Brompton Bicycle is visible on Platform 1.
