Summary

Description
English: Bank Foot Metro / Kenton (Bank) railway station (site), Tyne & Wear
Opened in 1905 as 'Kenton' by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Gosforth to Ponteland, this station was renamed 'Kenton Bank' in 1923 but closed to passengers in 1929. It was rebuilt and reopened as 'Bank Foot' by the Tyne & Wear Metro in 1980, with the line now going to (Newcastle) Airport. View east towards Kingston Park and Gosforth. Kenton Bank station only had one platform, to the left, as the line was only single track in those days.
