One of the major themes throughout the trilogy is that the colours become more muted. This is especially pronounced in the costumes. This image shows that by the time we get to the final battle of Part 3, the Battle of Tewkesbury, the combatants are wearing virtually the same outfit. This reflects director Jane Howell's notion that the fighting had become basically a family feud. |
