English: James Stuart & Nicholas Revett. The Antiquities of Athens measured and delineated by James Stuart F.R.S. and F.S.A. and Nicholas Revett Painters and Αrchitects, vol. III (ed. Willey Reveley), London, John Nichols, 1794. Pictured: The Acropolis in 1751 from the area of today's pedestrian street Apostolou Pavlou in Athens. The Turkish cemetery can be seen in front of the Acropolis, as well as the (demolished) Frankish tower on the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill on the left of the Acropolis and the pillars of the Temple of Olympian Zeus on the right of the Acropolis.
